Five Fall Favorites – Day Two

Welcome to day two of our “Five Fall Favorites” party! Grab a blanket, get all cozy, as we discuss romance and historical reads. Don’t forget — I like to hear which books are your favorites in these genres too, so be sure to comment!

5 Favorite Romance Books
This one is probably the hardest genre for me, as I am not exactly sure what classifies as “romance.” If you’ve followed my review for any length of time, you probably noticed that I usually say something like, “It was great, but the romance…” 😉 So, I suppose I’m going to choose five books that I liked that have romance in them. They may or may not be classified as “romance” though.

1) Wings of a Dream by Anne Mateer

10329469

2) A Dream Not Imagined by Shantelle Mary Hannu

25721914

3) The Lost Heiress by Roseanna White

22383696

4) The Sound of Diamonds by Rachelle Rea Cobb

24348955

5) Playing the Part by Jen Turano

25695484

5 Historical Fiction
Historical fiction is by far my favorite genre to read (and, actually, most of the books that I read…). So here goes! (I’m limited to only five…)

1) An Elegant Facade by Kristi Ann Hunter

27066722
2) Beyond the Silence by Tracie Peterson and Kimberly Woodhouse

25795195
3) Seasons of the Heart (series) by Janette Oke

65475
4) Where Can I Flee? by A.M. Heath

23015505
5) Lily of the Valley by Faith Blum

27220924

  1. Thanks for the offer of a blanket. I'll take one and curl up with a stack of books. Can I borrow your Top 5 for Historical Fiction to look through? :)Great post, Amanda! I already listed my favorites, so I won't do it again.

  2. I had never heard of Tracie Peterson, but my mom has, so that's one more book I will be adding to my To-Read list! 😉 I don't believe I've heard of any of your listed books. Woe is me! :PCutePolarBear

  3. I love historical fiction! One series I really enjoyed that mixed historical fiction with romance really well was the Edge of Freedom series by Elizabeth Ludwig.

  4. Of this list, I believe I've only read \”A Dream Not Imagined\”, which was super sweet. :)I am picky about my romance reading too…I tend to like romance books, but only a select few. ^.^
